Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of the singer Dionne Warswick and gospel music star Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a family that was musical. Whitney's mother and her began singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church of Newark at the age of fifteen years old. They performed the back vocals on Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. She continued to offer back vocals to Jermaine Jackson, Lou Rawls and her mother, and also did a brief stint as models on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. The singer was first a featured vocalist for the New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work attracted attention from the major label Arista who signed her in 1983. Whitney Houston, her debut album released in 1985, was the highest-selling album for the debut artist. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one smash. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies, and later reached 25,000,000 copies globally. This gave her the first of her 6 Grammy Awards. The Whitney album released in 1987 that featured songs like The Bodyguard, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. But it is The Bodyguard of 1992 that was her breakthrough album and made her one of the biggest-selling performers in the history of music. Although the film was not very well received, nor was her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the number one spot on both singles and albums charts in America for months. She sold 44,000,000 copies. The daughter of her mother Bobbi was born in March of 1993, a year she got married to Bobby Brown. Her daily drug usage was well documented.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. The shows she hosts on weekends comprise Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded numerous awards as well as a spot in the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine. She is known to have amazing anchoring and reporting skills, and is highly regarded by younger journalists.
